Hygienic valves have been manufactured by GEA for over 80 years. They are the core component in matrix-piped process plants and contribute significantly to the highest product quality. With our range of valves we provide the market with solutions for highly complex tasks as well as for basic functions. Our valves are economically designed for the application they are intended for.

The design of the valves and individual components without dead space satisfies the most exacting hygienic requirements and prevents unnecessary product losses. Thanks to the metallic stops, the seals used are characterized by a very long service life. This significantly cuts operating costs.

Mixproof Shut-off Valves

VARIVENT® double-seat valves are used for mixproof shut-off of incompatible products at the pipe junctions. The structure of the VARIVENT® modular system means that many optional versions are available for adapting the valve optimally to the process. With T-smart we offer a valve concept with basic functions.

Mixproof Shut-off Valves with Seat Lifting

VARIVENT® double-seat valves are used for mixproof shut-off of incompatible products at the pipe junctions. The 24 / 7 PMO Valve® describes double-seat valves that have been authorised for use in PMO-regulated systems.

Safety Valves

GEA offers different types of safety valves: Hygienic vacuum valves are used to secure lines in processing plants against impermissibly occurring vacuums (e.g. after sterilization). Our safety relief valves reliably protect process plants from overpressure.

Sampling Valves

Shut-off Valves

GEA offers three different series of single-seat shut-off valves. VARIVENT® and ECOVENT® single-seat valves are used for simple shut-off in hygienic applications. To avoid water hammers, individual variants in the VARIVENT® modular system are configured for different flow directions. With T-smart we offer a valve concept with basic functions.

Tank Bottom Valves

VARIVENT® tank bottom valves are used for shutting off pipelines at tanks or containers. Various housing connections can be welded directly into the tank bottom, flush mounted into the tank bottom wall. With T-smart we offer a valve concept with basic functions.

Tank Safety Systems

The Tank Safety System VARITOP® is used for tank cleaning, for the protection of the tank against inadmissible overpressure and vacuum and for the control of the gas and liquid flow.

VARIVENT® Control Valves

The VARIVENT® system’s modular design offers numerous optional implementations for the valve’s optimal adaptation to the process. The portfolio comprises two different valve types. Type S has a diaphragm actuator and a positioner, whereas the type P control valve is equipped with a VARIVENT® air/spring actuator and a T.VIS® P-15 positioner.

Product Recovery System 3A VARICOVER®

Product Recovery Systems are used for the recovery of valuable products from pipe systems. The VARICOVER® Product Recovery System has been redesigned according to the new 3A standard for use in the US beverage, food and pharmaceutical industries. The new pigging system design has implemented a more user friendly assembly and adjusting of all position sensors.
