GEA GRASSO V HS
The high-speed version offers a higher refrigeration capacity along with a lower investment. The speed increase provides clients with a significant increase in capacity. Because of the proportional correlation of compressor speed, swept volume and resulting capacity, up to 25 % more capacity can now be gained using the same models. That returns a significant improvement (reduction) of the relative price per kilowatt. Alternatively, users with a specific, fixed capacity requirement can benefit from the higher speed by allowing them to achieve the capacity demands with smaller compressor equipment meaning less investment and less footprint. When the high-speed version is operating at lower speeds, it offers the same significant saving potentials for your Total Cost of Ownership, reduced footprint and CO₂ emissions as the normal Grasso V series.
GEA uses natural refrigerants, such as ammonia, to get the best from the GEA Grasso compressors, and help protect the environment for future generations.
GEA Grasso compressors are designed and produced in Europe. They bring together more than 100 years of design experience with market leading research and technology. GEA reciprocating compressors are manufactured in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. You are invited to visit and see the precision and quality of the GEA production process first-hand.
Innovation
GEA has always invested in reciprocating technology with a clear vision for the future. The all new, 2nd Generation Grasso V reciprocating compressors follow this trend. They have all the key features of the previous Grasso V models, but better:
Up to 25% lower maintenance costs
New, improved bearing materials give better resistance to ammonia liquid and continual start/stops. This means maintenance intervals can be extended, reducing labor and parts costs over the lifetime of the equipment.
Up to 25% more capacity for the same investment
The increased swept volumes, created through higher compressor speeds, give up to 25% more capacity, resulting in a lower investment per kW cooling capacity and, in most cases, a smaller footprint.
Highlights and Technical Features
- Increased capacity: providing more capacity reduces investment costs
- Reduced footprint: use smaller compressors at higher speed
